Equipping every believer to study, do, and teach God’s word
1) Bible Study Workshops
Each workshop involves teaching simple principles that allow every believer to understand the message of the passage, how it points us to Christ, how to apply that to our lives, and how to share it with others.
You can request Word Training to come and lead an in-person workshop for your church, ministry or community.
2) Preaching Coaching
Word Training provides one-on-one preaching coaching to help you sharpen your ability to preach exegetically faithful, Christ centered, and transformational sermons.
Word Training can also help train pastors or lay leaders in how to preach faithfully.
3) Provide Resources
What We Do
"I learned how to look at a passage and teach it in a way that is applicable."
-Larry-
"It makes it more understandable and easier to find Christ throughout the Bible."

The Journey of Interpretation
Prayerful (Spirit led) - All study of Scripture begins with prayer. We need the Holy Spirit’s help in understanding the intent of Scripture and responding in faith.
Exegetical (Word driven) - The goal of study is to understand what the text says. The text, not my ideas, are king, and my first task is to understand the original message of the author.
Christological (Christ centered) - All Scripture is fulfilled in Christ. If we miss this, we will tend to err towards moralistic sermons that are void of God’s grace in Jesus. Only if we see the message of the author in light of the good news of Jesus will we see true transformation.
Transformational (Heart focused) - The goal of study is not mere information but transformation of our lives that begins in our hearts. After grasping the message of the text, we need to ask what the intended response is for us today.
Reproducible (Mission minded) - How we study the Bible needs to be simple enough that anyone can teach someone else how to do it. Responding to the word is only complete when we are able to share it with others.
Word Training holds to the historic Christian faith and is an agreement with the EFCA Statement of Faith.
“Michael is a great teacher. Every Christian should go through a course like this.”
